JEN'S STORY

Jen Schmid is a speaker, author, yoga instructor, and healer exploring the intersection of science and spirituality to inform the human experience. Combining personal narrative with scientific investigation, she brings modern consciousness research to life in a way that is both relatable and evidence-informed. Jen is known for fostering new understanding of the mind-body-spirit definitions. Additionally, she promotes reimagined ways for navigating grief, loss, death, and reversing chronic illness.

Jen’s personal medical history is significant for disease states that led to fear of premature death. In 2017, she was hospitalized for whole-body seizure-like episodes. With no concrete medical diagnosis and tests leading to more questions than answers, Jen believed she had a neurodegenerative progressive disease.

When Western medicine failed to provide answers, Jen turned toward therapeutically sound alternative healing methods. Over the next several years, she developed a deep understanding of holistic healthcare focused on sustainable, embodied wellness.

Trained in clinical therapeutic modalities as a speech-language pathologist, she values evidence-based practice and integrates data-driven approaches into her work and personal life.

For Jen, applying evidence is both a science and an art. She invites play, discovery, and creativity into her healing approach—founding Healing Arts and Sciences to unite these worlds.

Jen recognizes the tension between the demands of mainstream science and the wisdom of ancient healing traditions. In a data-driven world, measurable evidence is essential for credibility, access, and safety—yet overreliance on materialism can overlook the art and nuance of healing. Her work seeks to honor both, ensuring that ancient practices are preserved while meeting modern standards of rigor.

She advocates for accountability in alternative healing, highlighting the need for ethical guidelines to ensure psychological and somatic safety in a largely unregulated field.

By blending artful exploration of consciousness with quantitative evidence, Jen bridges the gap between science and spirit, bringing sustainable healing practices to a wider audience.
